英語短編集『Tangled』 の出版

今年８月、Michael Onofrey著『Tangled』がアマゾンから新発売されました。この短編集は、一言でいえば「おかしな人たちのお話」です。彼らのねじれた性格や奇妙な考え・行動がユーモラスに描かれています。表紙画は著者のオリジナル水彩画です。

The stories in this collection are meant to entertain, particularly for those who enjoy humor. Yet, like an afterthought, something lingers, and it’s almost a question: Is it insight that gnaws like a peculiar discernment in an era riddled with contradiction, where paradox calls upon indifference?

A number of locales provide backdrop and settings for these tales—India, Japan, Greece, Germany, Holland, Nevada, and California. The stories work independently, characters and themes and narrative styles divergent. However, in each piece at least one of the characters exhibits a glitch, thus lending a twist to the story. And so, it is with a sense of offbeat rendition that the collection comes together.
